March 2026 brings three major additions to TaxNoticeAI: full support for Faceless Assessment proceedings under Section 144B, expanded GST notice coverage, and a new enterprise tier designed for large CA firms and tax advisory companies. Here is everything that shipped this month.

Faceless Assessment (Section 144B) Support

This is the biggest feature addition since launch. TaxNoticeAI now fully supports Faceless Assessment notices issued through the National Faceless Assessment Centre (NaFAC).

What's included:

  • Automatic detection — Upload a faceless assessment notice and the AI instantly identifies it as a Section 144B proceeding based on NaFAC formatting, DIN patterns, and notice language.

  • DIN validation — Every faceless assessment notice must carry a valid Document Identification Number per CBDT Circular 19/2019. TaxNoticeAI extracts the DIN automatically and flags it for verification. If the DIN is missing or malformed, you get an immediate alert — this is often your strongest procedural defense.

  • Multi-query extraction — Faceless assessment notices typically contain multiple numbered queries. The AI parses each query individually and generates a targeted response for each one, with relevant case law and legal provisions.

  • E-Proceedings PDF export — Responses are exported as formatted PDFs that meet the e-Proceedings portal's upload requirements — proper file size, clean formatting, and a structure that maps to the original notice queries.

  • Multi-round tracking — Faceless assessments involve multiple rounds of queries and responses. Upload follow-up notices to the same case, and the AI maintains context across rounds to ensure consistency in your submissions.

GST Notice Expansion

We have tripled our GST legal corpus from approximately 460 documents to over 1,000 documents. This means significantly better coverage for GST notice responses.

New GST notice types supported:

  • DRC-03 voluntary payment analysis — AI-powered assessment of whether voluntary payment makes strategic sense vs. contesting the demand
  • Rule 86A ITC blocking challenges — Structured challenge framework with relevant High Court precedents on procedural requirements
  • GSTR-3B mismatch reconciliation — Automated identification of mismatch categories with common legitimate explanations
  • ASMT-10 scrutiny notices — Response drafting for Section 61 scrutiny proceedings
  • Registration cancellation — Defense against suo motu cancellation under Section 29
  • E-way bill detention — Responses to Sections 129 and 130 proceedings

Corpus additions:

AAR / AAAR Rulings300+
CBIC Circulars200+
High Court GST Decisions250+
GST Tribunal Orders150+

The expanded corpus is already live for all users. Every GST notice uploaded from today will benefit from the deeper legal research.

Enterprise Features

We are introducing enterprise-grade features for large CA firms and corporate tax departments that need more than the standard subscription plans.

API Access

Enterprise customers can now integrate TaxNoticeAI directly into their existing practice management systems via REST API. The API supports:

  • Notice upload and processing — Submit notices programmatically and receive structured JSON responses
  • Status polling and webhooks — Track processing status in real-time or receive webhook callbacks on completion
  • Bulk operations — Upload and process multiple notices in batch
  • Response retrieval — Download AI-generated responses in PDF or structured JSON format

API documentation is available for enterprise plan subscribers. If your firm uses proprietary practice management software and wants to embed TaxNoticeAI's analysis capabilities, this is the integration path.

Priority Processing

Standard notice processing runs through a shared queue. Enterprise customers get a dedicated priority queue with:

  • Faster processing times — Priority notices are processed ahead of the standard queue
  • Higher concurrency — Multiple notices can be processed simultaneously
  • Guaranteed SLA — Processing time commitments backed by service level agreements

For firms handling 200+ notices per month, the difference in throughput is substantial.

Dedicated Support

Enterprise plans include:

  • Dedicated account manager — A single point of contact who understands your firm's workflow and requirements
  • Priority support tickets — Response time commitments for technical issues and feature requests
  • Onboarding and training — Guided setup for your team, including API integration support
  • Custom corpus additions — Request specific legal documents, circulars, or tribunal decisions to be added to the corpus for your practice areas

White-Label Option

For large advisory firms that want to offer AI-powered notice response as part of their branded service offering, we provide a white-label deployment option. This includes:

  • Custom branding on generated PDFs and the client-facing interface
  • Separate instance with dedicated resources
  • Custom domain support
  • SLA-backed uptime guarantees

Contact us at [email protected] for enterprise pricing and white-label inquiries.

Other Improvements

Beyond the three headline features, March also includes:

  • Improved OCR accuracy — Better handling of scanned notices with low resolution or skewed alignment. Short digital PDFs no longer trigger unnecessary fallback to Google Cloud Vision OCR, reducing processing time.

  • Legal corpus quality — Total corpus now stands at 2,911 documents across 11 source types. Income tax coverage includes 1,907 documents; GST coverage includes 1,004 documents.

  • Credit purchase system — Buy additional notice credits in packs of 5, 15, 50, or 100 without changing your subscription plan. Useful for months with higher-than-usual notice volumes.

  • ITR/AIS attachment support — Upload your client's ITR and AIS/TIS alongside the notice for richer AI analysis. The AI uses the return data and AIS information to provide more specific and contextual responses.

What's Coming Next

We are working on several features for the coming months:

  • CIT(A) appeal drafting — End-to-end appeal preparation with grounds of appeal, statement of facts, and written submissions
  • Deadline calendar — A unified view of all pending deadlines across clients with push notifications
  • Team collaboration — Comments, assignments, and review workflows for Firm plan users
  • ITAT order analysis — Upload ITAT orders to extract ratio decidendi and add to your response arguments

All existing users automatically have access to the new Faceless Assessment and GST features. The expanded corpus is live and every new notice upload benefits from the deeper legal research.
